Wo shahre mohabbat jahan mustafa hai lyrics

Woh shehre mohabbat jahan Mustafa hain

Wohin ghar banane ko jee chahta hai

Woh sone se kankar, woh chaandi si mitti

Nazar mein basaane ko jee chahta hai

Joe Po-cha Nabi saw na- ke, kuch-h ghar-r bhi ch-oda

To Siddiq-e-Akbar ke honton pe aaya

Wahan maal-o-daulat ki kya hai haqeeqat?

Jahan jaan lutane ko jee chahta hai

Jihad-e-mohabbat ki awaaz goonji

Kaha Hanzala ne ye dulhan se apni

Ijazat agar ho to jaam-e-shahadat

Labon se lagane ko jee chahta hai

Sitaaron se ye chaand kehta hai har dam

Tumhein kya bataoon woh tukdon ka aalam

Ishaare mein Aaqa ke itna maza tha

Ke phir toot jaane ko jee chahta hai

Woh nanha sa Asghar, jo eedi ragad kar

Yehi keh raha tha woh kheme mein ro kar

Ae Baba! main paani ka pyaasa nahin hoon

Mera sar katane ko jee chahta hai

Jo dekha hai rooye jamaal-e-risalat

To, Tahir! Umar Mustafa se ye bole

Badi aap se dushmani thi magar ab

Ghulami mein aane ko jee chahta hai

Naat Lyrics In English

That city of love where Mustafa ﷺ resides,

It’s there that my heart longs to build a home.

Those pebbles of gold, that silver-like soil,

My eyes desire to make them my own.

When the Prophet ﷺ asked, “Did you leave any wealth behind?”

On Siddiq-e-Akbar’s lips came this reply:

“What worth is wealth and riches in that land,

Where the heart only longs to give life and die?”

The call of love’s jihad echoed aloud,

Hanzala said to his bride with pride:

“If you grant me leave, I shall drink from the cup,

Of martyrdom, with joy at my side.”

The moon whispers to the stars each night,

“How can I describe that wondrous sight?

The pleasure found in his single gesture,

Makes me long to be shattered outright.”

That little Asghar, rubbing heel on heel,

Wept in the tent with a tender appeal:

“O father! I’m not thirsty for water,

But to give my life—that’s what I feel.”

Upon seeing the beauty of the Prophet’s face,

’Twas Umar who spoke with deepest grace:

“Once enmity filled my heart for you,

But now I long for your slave’s embrace.”
