A Unique Gift from Allah

Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) was the son of Hazrat Dawood (A.S.) and became the king of Bani Israel after him. Allah granted him extraordinary wisdom and the ability to understand the language of animals, birds, and even jinns.

The Story of Hud-Hud and the Queen of Sheba

One day, Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) gathered all the birds, but noticed that Hud-Hud (the hoopoe) was missing. After a short while, Hud-Hud arrived and informed him about a faraway land called Saba (Sheba) in the south, ruled by a powerful queen who, along with her people, worshipped the sun instead of Allah.

A Letter to the Queen

Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) sent a letter through Hud-Hud, inviting the queen to stop idol worship and believe in the One True God. The queen was worried that Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) might attack her kingdom, so she sent precious gifts to test his intentions. However, Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) refused to accept the gifts, showing that he was not interested in wealth but in guiding people to the truth.

The Throne of the Queen

Before the queen arrived, Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) asked the jinns to bring her throne. Within moments, the mighty jinns transported it to his court. When the queen arrived, she was astonished to see her throne already there, realizing that this was no ordinary kingdom.

A Palace of Glass

Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) then took the queen inside his palace, which had a glass floor over water. Thinking it was a pool, she lifted her dress to avoid getting wet. Seeing this, she immediately understood the power of Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) and declared: "I submit to the Lord of Hazrat Suleman (A.S.), the One True God."

The Story of the Ants

On another occasion, Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) and his vast army were marching when an ant leader warned its fellow ants: "Go into your homes, or Suleman’s army might crush you unknowingly!" Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) understood the ant’s words and smiled. He thanked Allah for blessing him with such wisdom and ordered his army to walk carefully so the ants wouldn’t be harmed.

Lessons from Hazrat Suleman (A.S.)'s Life

1. Wisdom and Justice – He ruled with fairness and always sought Allah’s guidance. 2. Power with Humility – Despite controlling jinns, animals, and the wind, he remained humble. 3. Dawah (Invitation to Islam) – Instead of war, he used wisdom to guide people to the truth. 4. Gratitude to Allah – He always thanked Allah for his knowledge and power. The story of Hazrat Suleman (A.S.) teaches us that true strength lies in faith, wisdom, and humility.
