Madine ke khitte Khuda tujhko rakhe,

Ghareebo faqeeron ke thehrane waale -

Me mujrim hu aaqa mujhe saath le lo,

Ke raste me hai ja baja thaane waale_

Haram ki zameen aur qadam rakh ke chalna,

Are sar ka mouqa hai o jaane waale -

Chal uth zabah farsa ho saaki ke dar par,

Dar e jood hai mere mastane waale_

Tera khaye tere ghulamo se uljhe,

Hai munkir ajab khaane gurrane waale -

Rahega yu hi unka charcha rahega,

Pade khaaq ho jaye jal jaane waale_

Ab aayi shafaat ki sa’at ab aayi,

Zara chain le mere ghabhrane waale_

Raza nafs dushman hai dumme na aana,

Kaha tumne dekhe hain chandrane waale

All who seek light find it from you –

Light up my heart too, O Giver of Light.

The clouds of mercy don’t always rain,

But shower even upon the sinners, O Showerer of Mercy.

By God, you are alive, by God, you are alive –

O One who hides from the eyes of this world.

May God protect the land of Madinah for you –

O One where the poor and needy find refuge.

I am a sinner, O Master, please take me along –

For on the way there are many who arrest and stop.

Walk carefully on the land of Haram –

It is a moment to bow your head, O traveller.

Come, rise and be sacrificed at the tavern of the Saqi –

For the door of generosity is open for my intoxicated ones.

They eat from you yet argue with your slaves –

How strange are these deniers who growl and complain.

Their mention will remain, it will always remain –

Those who burn with jealousy will turn to dust.

Now the moment of intercession has arrived, now it has arrived –

Bring some peace to my restless heart, O Comforter.

Raza, the soul is your enemy, do not fear –

You said you have seen even the moon weeping.
